چکیده

We present results of our 7 μm deep survey program madewith ISOCAM, the infrared camera of ISO (InfraredSpace Observatory). We have found 15 sources above a 5 σrms significance in a small selected area (3′× 3′) in the Lockman HI hole. Among the 15 sources, 14 objects have also been observed in the near infrared (NIR: ∼ 2 μm). The majority of the 7 μm sources (11 objects) have NIR counterparts most of which are considered to be galaxies with intermediate redshifts. It is, however, intriguing that two 7 μm sources have no NIR counterpart. These objects may be heavily reddened populations which have not been detected by existing optical and NIR deep surveys.

ISOCAM observations in the Lockman Hole - II The 14 . 3 μ m deep survey : data reduction , catalogue and source counts ⋆ ⋆ ⋆

We present a new analysis of the ISOCAM 14.3 µm deep survey in a 20×20 square arcmins area in the Lockman Hole. This survey is intermediate between the ultra-deep surveys and the shallow surveys in the ELAIS fields. The data have been analyzed with the method presented by Lari et al. (2001). We have produced a catalogue of 283 sources detected above the 5-σ threshold, with fluxes in the interva...

The AGN fraction of submm-selected galaxies and contributions to the submm/mm-wave extragalactic background light

We present a comparison of the SCUBA half degree extragalactic survey (SHADES) at 450 μm, 850 μm and 1100 μm with deep guaranteed time 15 μm AKARI FU-HYU survey data and Spitzer guaranteed time data at 3.6−24 μm in the Lockman hole east. The AKARI data was analysed using bespoke software based in part on the drizzling and minimum-variance matched filtering developed for SHADES, and was cross-ca...

Deep Galaxy survey at 6.75μm with the ISO satellite

Deep 6.75μm mid-IR ISOCAM observations were obtained from the Canada-France Redshift Survey (CFRS) 1415+52 field with the Infrared Space Observatory. The identification of the sources with optical counterparts is described in detail, and a classification scheme is devised which depends on the S/N of the detection and the inverse probability of chance coincidence. 83% of the 54 ISOCAM sources ar...

The hunt for red active galactic nuclei: a new infrared diagnostic

We introduce a new infrared diagnostic to separate galaxies on the basis of their dominant infrared emission: stellar or nuclear. The main novelty with respect to existing diagnostics is the use of a broad band encompassing at the same time the 9.7-μm silicate absorption feature and one of the adjacent broad polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) features. This provides a robust estimate of the ...

Letter to the Editor An ultra-deep ISOCAM observation through a cluster-lens

We present results of ultra-deep ISOCAM observations through a cluster-lens at 7μm and 15μm with the Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) satellite. These observations reveal a large number of luminous Mid-Infrared (MIR) sources. Crossidentification in the optical and Near-Infrared (NIR) wavebands shows that about half of the 7 μm sources are cluster galaxies. The other 7 μm and almost all 15 μm so...
